Job summary

Affirm is hiring a Senior Analyst to own the end-to-end analytical lifecycle for risk and growth across products and geographies. You will translate regulatory and economic insights into actionable business strategies while collaborating with ML, engineering, product, and compliance teams.

You will lead cross-functional initiatives, monitor market dynamics, and build scalable analytics that inform key decisions. This remote-first role offers broad impact and growth opportunities within Affirm.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of analytically-driven experience in consumer lending, credit, or fintech.
• Degree in data science, computer science, engineering, economics, or related quantitative field.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Experience with data mining, data visualization, and statistical modeling, including applying machine learning to business or risk problems.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives bridging Product, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering.
• Strong understanding of consumer lending regulations and regional market dynamics.
• Ability to translate regulatory and economic insights into actionable strategies.
• Excellent communication to influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Derive insights and optimize end-to-end strategies across products and geographies.
• Monitor macro and market trends; adjust analytical and operational strategies to balance risk and growth.
• Partner with Engineering and ML teams to design and interpret performance metrics for scalable models.
• Collaborate with Product, Legal, and Compliance to translate regulatory requirements into analytical policy and product design.
• Oversee development and execution of analytical frameworks aligned with risk appetite and regulations.
• Engage with merchants, vendors, and partners to align practices and strengthen relationships.
• Build repeatable AI-assisted workflows and mentor junior analysts on technical craft.
