Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Radiology Information Systems (RIS) Team Lead / Manager to steer the RIS/PACS engineering and support teams. You will architect and optimize enterprise radiology workflows, oversee interoperability across EHR, RIS, and PACS, and guide a multidisciplinary team of RIS analysts and integration engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a healthcare IT field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in healthcare clinical applications with RIS/PACS expertise.
• 2+ years in team lead, supervisory, or project management role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor RIS analysts and clinical systems specialists to deliver reliable radiology workflows.
• Design, standardize, and optimize end-to-end RIS/PACS workflows across multi-site imaging centers.
• Oversee interoperability with EHR, RIS, PACS, and VNA, ensuring data integrity and compliant interfaces.
• Manage migrations, upgrades, and major deployments from conception through stabilization.
• Drive continuous quality improvement through KPI monitoring and process enhancements.
