Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Radiology Information Systems (RIS) Team Lead / Manager to guide a multidisciplinary team across RIS and PACS environments. You will architect enterprise workflows, align operations with clinical and revenue goals, and partner with radiologists and operational leaders to optimize throughput and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in healthcare informatics or IT.
• 7+ years in healthcare clinical applications with RIS/PACS focus.
• 2+ years in a team lead or project management role.

Responsibilities

• Lead RIS analysts and clinical systems specialists, mentoring and evaluating performance.
• Oversee end-to-end RIS workflow design, standardization, and optimization across sites.
• Govern interfaces and data flows (HL7, DICOM, FHIR) between RIS, PACS, EHR, VNA, and third-party portals.
• Direct enterprise migrations, platform upgrades, and multi-site implementations from scoping to stabilization.
• Drive continuous quality improvements with KPIs, incident triage, and self-service enhancements.
