Job summary

Akumin is seeking a RIS Team Lead / Manager to guide the engineering and support team responsible for enterprise radiology workflows across RIS and PACS. You will align clinical operations, revenue cycle, and IT teams to deliver standardized, scalable processes.

The role combines leadership, workflow architecture, and hands-on guidance for RIS analysts, integration engineers, and vendor partners. Strong communication and project execution are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in healthcare IT, RIS, or PACS environments.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
• 2+ years in a team lead, supervisory, or project management role.

Responsibilities

• Lead RIS analysts and workflow specialists across RIS/PACS platforms.
• Standardize scheduling, order intake, and billing workflows.
• Align clinical operations with revenue cycle and enterprise goals.
• Drive end-to-end workflow design, optimization, and migrations.
• Oversee data integrity of HL7, DICOM, and FHIR streams.
• Mentor team, manage capacity, and prioritize work.
• Partner with vendors and clinical stakeholders to deliver projects.
