Akumin is seeking an experienced RIS Team Lead / Manager to guide a multi-site RIS/PACS team, optimizing radiology workflows and ensuring data integrity across EHR, RIS and PACS systems. You will lead a multidisciplinary group, drive standardization, and partner with clinical operations and IT to align workflows with financial and clinical goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in healthcare clinical applications, with dedicated RIS and PACS expertise.
• 2+ years in a team lead, supervisory, or technical project management role.

Responsibilities

• Lead RIS analysts and clinical systems specialists; conduct performance evaluations and set objectives.
• Manage daily break-fix support, workflow optimization, and major system rollouts.
• Establish SOPs, change management protocols, and comprehensive documentation standards for RIS config.
• Act as liaison between clinical operations, IT, RCM, and vendors (e.g., Royal Health, eRAD, PACS vendors).
• Drive end-to-end RIS workflow design, standardization, and site-wide optimization.
• Govern interoperability data flows (HL7, DICOM, FHIR) ensuring data integrity across EHR, RIS, PACS and VNA.
• Oversee RIS migrations, project scoping, UAT, training, cutover, and hypercare.
