Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Radiology Information Systems (RIS) Team Lead / Manager to guide a multidisciplinary team of RIS analysts, workflow specialists, and integration engineers. You will drive end-to-end RIS/PACS workflow optimization across multiple sites in a fast-paced healthcare environment, ensuring reliable scheduling, authorization capture, and billing alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Informatics, CS, IT, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in healthcare clinical applications, with dedicated expertise in RIS and PACS ecosystems.
• 2+ years of demonstrated leadership in a team lead, supervisory, or project management capacity.
• Direct, hands-on eRAD RIS administration experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead RIS analysts and clinical systems specialists; provide technical guidance and career development.
• Oversee design, configuration, optimization, and lifecycle management of RIS/PACS workflows.
• Coordinate interoperability, data streaming, and integration with HL7, DICOM, and FHIR standards.
• Align scheduling, authorization, exam execution, reporting, and billing workflows with clinical and financial goals.
• Manage enterprise migrations, project delivery, and continuous quality improvement.
