Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA seeks a Sr. RFIC Layout Designer (Starshield Silicon) to lead the layout discipline on multiple RF/analog blocks for national security applications.

You will collaborate with IC designers and packaging teams to optimize floor plans, power distribution, and reliability for space-grade silicon. The role requires 5+ years in IC layout, expertise in analog/RF layouts, and familiarity with advanced nodes (16nm/7nm/5nm) and high-frequency circuits up to 50GHz.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or 8+ years of professional experience with IC layout.
• 5+ years of professional experience as an IC layout designer.

Responsibilities

• Determine chip floor plan and power/ground distribution in collaboration with designers.
• Estimate schedules and identify layout complexity early.
• Layout of custom RF and analog blocks with emphasis on matching and parasitics.
• Perform DRC/ERR and LVS checks; resolve issues.
