Job summary

Axon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (RF hardware) to own architecture, integration, development, and validation of sophisticated multi-transceiver systems for connected hardware. You’ll shape RF coexistence, isolation, EMI/EMC, and antenna integration in battery-powered devices used in public safety.

You will lead bring-up, debugging, and certification efforts, collaborating with Antenna, Systems, Mechanical, Firmware, and Manufacturing teams to deliver reliable wireless performance in

Qualifications

• 7+ years of embedded wireless hardware and RF design experience with a relevant Electrical Engineering degree.
• Chip-down RF design and board-level integration of wireless transceivers.
• Experience with multiple wireless technologies (LTE/5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS) in compact devices.
• Proficiency designing RF circuitry including transceivers, matching, filtering and power delivery.
• Experience taking hardware from concept to mass production with regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

• RF & Chip-Down Design: implement RF chipsets and circuitry across wireless platforms.
• Wireless Architecture: evaluate chipsets, front-end components, and system tradeoffs.
• Schematic & PCB Implementation: create and review RF schematics and boards.
• RF Coexistence & Interference: address desense, isolation, EMI/EMC in multi-transceiver systems.
• Multi-Transceiver Integration: integrate multiple wireless technologies in compact devices.
• RF & Antenna Integration: optimize antenna placement and RF routing with other teams.
• Bring-Up & Debugging: lead hardware bring-up with RF test equipment and analyzers.
• Certification & Production: drive through verification and production ramp.
• Technical Leadership: guide architecture and design with vendors and internal teams.
