Job summary

Axon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to own the design, development, and validation of complex electrical systems for mission-critical, connected hardware. You will lead hardware lifecycle decisions and establish technical architecture across schematics, RF, and mechanical integration.

You will work with cross-functional teams across design validation, bring-up, and production readiness, ensuring quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of embedded electronics design experience with high-density, battery-powered or low-power systems.
• Experience with PCB design and RF integration, mechanical integration, and hardware bring-up/debugging for highly integrated devices.
• Experience across embedded subsystems including processors, microcontrollers, memory, power, wireless/RF integration, and high-speed interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design mixed-signal schematics and drive PCB layout for applications processors, RF transceivers, and power management.
• Design and validate RF and radio systems across multiple wireless technologies, focusing on performance and EMC.
• Collaborate with Mechanical/Industrial Design for antenna integration and form-factor constraints.
• Bring up, characterize, and troubleshoot hardware with lab instruments and test equipment.
• Drive component selection, BOMs, documentation, and verification through production readiness.
• Provide technical leadership to electrical engineering team and external partners.
