Job summary

Axon seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in RF hardware and chip-down design to own the architecture, integration, development, and validation of sophisticated multi-transceiver systems for connected hardware. Your work powers mission-critical devices like body-worn cameras to communicate reliably in the field.

As a founding member of the hardware team, you will guide RF chipset decisions, PCB layout, bring-up, and RF validation, collaborating with Antenna and Systems teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of embedded wireless hardware and RF design with a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in chip-down RF design and board-level integration of wireless transceivers/modems.
• Proven experience with multiple wireless technologies (LTE/5G, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS, etc.).
• Hands-on hardware bring-up, debugging with RF test equipment, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own board-level RF design and integration for mission-critical wireless systems.
• Translate requirements into wireless hardware architectures and select chipsets.
• Develop schematics and PCB layouts for RF transceivers and front-end components.
• Lead RF coexistence, interference control, and EMI/EMC considerations.
• Drive bring-up, validation, certification, and mass production with cross-functional teams.
