Job summary

Axon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in a hybrid role with on-site presence at regional hubs (New York City, Boston, or Scottsdale). You will own the design, development, and validation of complex electrical systems for mission-critical hardware.

You will lead RF coexistence efforts and drive hardware objectives from concept through mass production, collaborating across cross-functional teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of embedded electronics design experience.
• Experience with PCB design and layout, RF integration and coexistence, mechanical integration, and hardware bring-up/debugging for highly integrated devices.
• Experience designing electronics to meet US/international hardware, wireless, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Electrical & Board Design: Develop mixed-signal schematics and drive PCB layout across processors, RF transceivers, power management, battery charging, memory, and high-speed interfaces.
• RF Integration & Coexistence: Design and validate RF and radio systems across multiple wireless technologies, addressing performance, coexistence, interference, isolation, and EMC.
• Mechanical Integration: Coordinate with Mechanical/Industrial Design to optimize board layout and antenna integration within tight form factors.
• Bring-Up & Debugging: Bring up, characterize, and troubleshoot hardware with test equipment.
• Production Readiness: Drive BOMs, design documentation, verification, and readiness from concept through mass production.
• Technical Leadership: Guide electrical engineering team members and external partners to complete hardware objectives.
