Job summary

Axon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to own the design, development, and validation of complex electrical systems for mission-critical, connected hardware. You will help establish the technical architecture and standards across the full hardware lifecycle.

You'll work on schematics, PCB layout, RF coexistence, mechanical integration, and debugging, collaborating with cross-functional teams and design partners to deliver safe, scalable products.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of embedded electronics design experience and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with PCB design and layout, RF integration and coexistence, mechanical integration, and hardware bring-up/debugging for highly integrated devices.
• Experience across embedded subsystems including processors, memory, power, wireless/RF, and high-speed interfaces.
• Proven track record from concept to board design, validation, certification, and manufacturing ramp to mass production.
• Strong understanding of RF coexistence, signal integrity, power integrity, and EMC considerations.
• Hands-on experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, power supplies).
• Experience designing rigid, flex, or rigid-flex PCBs within tight form-factor constraints.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, development and validation of complex electrical systems for mission-critical hardware.
• Establish technical architecture and engineering standards to scale the hardware team.
• Develop schematics and PCB layouts across processors, RF transceivers, power and memory.
• Drive RF integration, coexistence, interference mitigation, and EMC compliance.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and Industrial Design for board layout and antenna integration.
• Provide technical leadership and review designs with external partners.
