Job summary

Axon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to own design, development, and validation of complex electrical systems for mission-critical, connected hardware. As a founding member of our hardware team, you will shape technical architecture, drive standards, and lead cross-functional collaboration across RF, mechanical, and production disciplines to scale from concept to mass production.

You will work with Cadence tools, perform bring-up and debugging with advanced test equipment, and mentor

Qualifications

• 7+ years of embedded electronics design and a bachelor's in electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience with PCB design & layout, RF integration & coexistence, mechanical integration, and hardware bring-up/debugging for highly integrated devices.
• Experience across embedded subsystems including processors, memory, power delivery, wireless/RF integration, and high-speed interfaces.
• Proven track record taking electronics from concept through schematic/PCB design, verification, certification, manufacturing ramp, and mass production.
• Strong understanding of RF coexistence, signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC considerations.
• Hands-on experience with Cadence OrCAD and Allegro, and with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and related test equipment.
• Experience designing rigid, flex, or rigid-flex PCBs within tight mechanical constraints.
• Experience meeting US/international hardware, wireless, and safety standards and regulations.
• Experience collaborating with ODMs/JDMs and across cross-functional, geographically distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Electrical & board design: develop mixed-signal schematics and drive PCB layout across processors, RF transceivers, power, and memory.
• RF integration & coexistence: design and validate RF systems across multiple wireless technologies.
• Mechanical integration: optimize board layout, component placement, antenna integration within tight form factors.
• Bring-up & debugging: bring up and troubleshoot hardware using advanced test equipment.
• Production readiness: drive BOMs, design docs, verification, and readiness from concept to mass production.
• Technical leadership: provide direction and review designs with external partners and internal teams.
