Job summary

RTX in McKinney, TX is seeking an experienced RF engineering professional for an onsite role requiring a Secret clearance. You will interface with suppliers, engineering, and program leadership to drive cost reductions and improve producibility of RF electronics assemblies.

The role emphasizes hands-on manufacturing in RF microelectronics and collaboration to advance design choices while meeting MIL-STD-883 and J-STD-001H standards. A strong, data-driven mindset and Six Sigma focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
• Current or ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-883, J-STD-001H, AS9100 and RF microelectronics in production.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical trade studies.
• Data-driven with track record of mitigating risks and capturing opportunities.
• Focus on 1–2 year operational plans and implementing new products, processes and standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot and establish root cause corrective action.
• Drive continuous improvement through Six Sigma.
• Support development builds in a clean room environment.

Responsibilities

• Interface with internal and external suppliers, engineering, and program leadership to develop cost-reduction activities and promote design choices through statistical analysis.
• Gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment with RF microelectronics (Fire Control AESAs, EW, SATCOMs).
• Serve as liaison between factory and program to improve producibility of RF electronics components and assemblies.
