Job summary

RTX in McKinney, TX, seeks an engineer to drive cost reductions and design-for-manufacturing improvements in RF microelectronics. You will work with suppliers, engineering and program leadership on defects, processes and robust design choices in a manufacturing setting.

You will gain hands-on experience with RF assemblies, MIL-STD-883, J-STD-001H, AS9100, and participate in development builds in a clean room environment. A Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2+ years of engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Strong communication to convey technical trade studies.
• Data-driven, risk mitigation, and opportunities capture.
• Root-cause problem solving and continuous improvement mindset.
• Clean room development builds exposure.

Responsibilities

• Interface with internal/external suppliers, engineering and leadership to drive cost reductions and defect mitigation.
• Gain hands-on manufacturing experience with RF microelectronics development.
• Resolve product/design challenges for RF microelectronics in land, sea, air and space applications.
• Document processes and contribute to MIL-STD-883, J-STD-001H, AS9100 compliance.
• Support operational plans with 1–2 year impact and implement new products and standards.
