The North Carolina Department of State Treasurer is seeking a Program Supervisor I (NS) to lead the Retirement Processing Section within the Retirement Systems Division. This role directs Administrative Specialist and Program Coordinator staff, ensuring accurate benefit calculations, eligibility determinations, and quality control in retirement processing.

You will steer metrics, mentor staff, and handle high-level cases while interpreting retirement laws and guiding junior team members.

Competenze

Considerable knowledge of the North Carolina Retirement plan, retirement laws, and their application.
Ability to organize, direct, and prioritize office workflow.
Ability to manage individual cases and sensitive situations that require more judgement and diplomacy.

Mansioni

Directs a staff of Administrative Specialist and Program Coordinator positions executing the requirements of the Retirement Processing Section.
Reviews and maintain various metrics supporting quality, timeliness, and customer service.
Conducts performance counseling; participates in the disciplinary process.
Provides training and mentoring for staff.
Research, manages, and resolves high level and/or more complex cases.
