The North Carolina Department of State Treasurer is seeking a Program Supervisor I to lead the Retirement Processing team within the Retirement Systems Division. You will supervise staff, review metrics, and handle complex retirement cases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with retirement laws.

The role offers hybrid work with both in-office and remote days, and a pathway to broader opportunities within the DST while maintaining confidentiality and high service standards for members.

Competenze

• Extensive knowledge of the North Carolina Retirement plan and related laws.
• Ability to organize, direct, and prioritize office workflow.
• Ability to manage individual cases and sensitive situations with judgement and diplomacy.
• Inquiries and applications will be kept confidential.

Mansioni

• Directs a staff of Administrative Specialist and Program Coordinator positions executing the requirements of the Retirement Processing Section administered by the Retirement System Division.
• Reviews and maintain metrics supporting quality, timeliness, and customer service in accordance with DST goals and objectives.
• Conducts performance counseling; participates in the disciplinary process.
• Provides training and mentoring for staff.
• Research, manages, and resolves high level and/or more complex cases.
