Job summary

Amgen seeks a Senior Specialty Representative for Respiratory in Birmingham, AL to act as the primary contact for medical professionals, delivering clinical knowledge and promoting Amgen products. This role requires building relationships, achieving sales targets, and supporting access and reimbursement strategies.

The position invites a dedicated sales professional with a background in pharma/biotech or medical devices, plus 3+ years of relevant experience, and a strong drive to serve patients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
• OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
• OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
• Three or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry Product or hospital sales experience in the areas of oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology or infectious diseases

Responsibilities

• Provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products to medical professionals
• Deliver branded sales messages and participate in programs to meet sales targets
• Manage accounts including product access, reimbursement issues, and contracts
• Analyze sales activity and territory performance and develop plans with the District Manager
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and drive results
• Support disease state awareness and continuous learning to grow as a Senior Specialty Representative
