Job summary

Amgen’s Senior Specialty Representative – Respiratory will liaison with medical professionals, promoting Amgen therapies with clinical accuracy and compliance. You’ll own a defined territory and build trusted relationships while applying scientific knowledge to drive patient access and brand objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of pharma/biotech or hospital sales experience, or an Associate degree with 6 years, or a HS diploma with 8 years.
• Five or more years of sales experience with a proven top performance in biotech/pharmaceutical sectors.
• Specialty product, surgical or hospital sales experience in pulmonology, oncology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, or rare diseases.
• Knowledge of diseases, treatment pathways and customer dynamics in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow assigned territory by planning and executing a strategic business plan.
• Build trusted relationships with healthcare professionals and decision-makers.
• Deliver clinical and product discussions with accurate, compliant messaging.
• Identify high-value accounts using insights and data.
• Develop strategic accounts considering treatment pathways and access.
• Collaborate with marketing, reimbursement and field teams to address customer needs.
• Navigate complex healthcare environments and maintain clinical and product expertise.
• Achieve or exceed performance objectives with prioritization and follow-through.
• Operate with integrity and comply with laws and policies.
• Share insights to strengthen team performance.
• Travel within the territory, including occasional overnight travel for training and meetings.
