Job summary

AXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, is seeking a Reserving Actuary in the United States. You will interface with underwriting, claims, operations, reinsurance, and IT to understand AXA XL’s diverse Americas markets.

You will develop reserve indications, actuarial valuations for new lines, and provide senior leadership with timely insights to steer strategic decisions. You will collaborate with finance and global reporting teams, staying current on trends in reserving methods and

Qualifications

ACAS or FCAS accreditation
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, applied math, statistics, or related field
Robust analytical and research skills with ability to lead and influence decisions
Excellent written and verbal communication with internal/external clients

Responsibilities

Support profitability reviews, business planning and financial reporting.
Develop reserve indications and review reserve performance retrospectively.
Develop actuarial valuations for new and evolving lines of business.
Build relationships with finance, claims and underwriting as a consultative partner.
Provide timely, insightful business intelligence for strategic initiatives.
Prepare actuarial reports focusing resources on emerging risk areas.
Collaborate with global financial reporting teams and stay updated on trends.
