Job summary

AXA XL is seeking a Reserving Actuary to interface globally with underwriting, claims, operations, reinsurance, and IT. You will develop forward-looking insights and ensure reserve adequacy across varied commercial lines for the Americas Insurance Business Group.

You will lead analytical initiatives, build stakeholder partnerships, and contribute to strategic decisions, reporting to the Head of Americas Casualty. The role emphasizes expertise in reserving methods and advanced analytics.

Qualifications

• CAS accreditation at ACAS or FCAS level.
• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, applied math, or statistics.
• Strong analytical and research skills with ability to lead decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with internal and external clients.

Responsibilities

• Support ad-hoc profitability reviews, business planning, financial reporting and special projects.
• Develop reserve indications while evaluating and retrospectively reviewing reserve performance.
• Develop actuarial valuations for new and evolving lines of business.
• Build relationships with finance, claims and underwriting as a consultative partner.
• Provide in-depth timely, insightful, relevant, reliable business intelligence for strategic actuarial initiatives.
• Prepare actuarial reports and exhibits on business unit results.
• Collaborate with global financial reporting teams.
• Stay abreast of trends impacting actuarial analysis.
