Job summary

AXA XL invites an experienced Reserving Actuary to join our Americas Casualty team. You will interface globally with underwriting, claims, operations, reinsurance, and IT to deepen the understanding of diverse markets across the Americas Insurance Business Group.

You will influence reserve strategies and provide forward-looking insights to ensure reserve adequacy across commercial lines. Responsibilities include profitability reviews, reserve indications, valuations for new lines, and

Qualifications

CAS accreditation (ACAS or FCAS) required.
Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, applied math, statistics, or related field.
Strong analytical and research skills with ability to lead and influence decisions.
Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse clients.

Responsibilities

Support ad-hoc profitability reviews, business planning, financial reporting and special projects.
Develop reserve indications while evaluating and reviewing reserve performance.
Create actuarial valuations for new and evolving lines of business.
Build relationships with finance, claims and underwriting as a consultative partner.
Provide timely, insightful business intelligence for actuarial initiatives.
Prepare actuarial reports and exhibits on business unit results to focus on risks.
Collaborate with global financial reporting teams.
Stay current on trends that affect actuarial analysis.
You will report to the Head of Americas Casualty.
