Job summary

AXA XL seeks a Reserving Actuary to interface with underwriting, claims, operations and IT across the Americas Insurance Business Group. You will develop robust reserve insights, support profitability reviews, and build actuarial valuations for evolving lines of business.

Strong communication and leadership are essential to influence decisions and drive timely, reliable business intelligence. You will work with global teams on reserving initiatives, ensuring reserve adequacy and informing

Qualifications

CAS accreditation (ACAS or FCAS) or progressing toward
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, applied math, statistics, or related field
Strong analytical and research skills with ability to lead decision-making
Excellent written and verbal communication for internal/external clients with varying actuarial knowledge

Responsibilities

Support ad-hoc profitability reviews, business planning and financial reporting.
Develop reserve indications and review reserve performance.
Develop actuarial valuations for new/evolving lines of business.
Build relationships with finance, claims and underwriting as a consultative partner.
Support strategic actuarial initiatives with timely business intelligence.
Prepare actuarial reports and exhibits on unit results to focus resources on risks.
Collaborate with global financial reporting teams.
Stay abreast of trends impacting actuarial analysis.
