Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Research Scientist to support NIH objectives in Bethesda, MD. The role involves immunology, molecular biology, sequencing, and tissue analysis, with collaboration across cores and regular presentations at meetings. It requires a Ph.D.

or MD and at least six years of relevant experience. The position is full-time, located in Bethesda, with travel up to 10% and opportunities to contribute to high-priority projects and scientific publications.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.D. or related doctoral degree in science or medicine.
• Minimum of six years of research experience in science or related field.
• Extensive experience with molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology.
• Experience generating knockout mice and working with mouse models.
• Experience with next generation sequencing methods (RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, etc.).
• Ability to manage high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform immunology, molecular biology techniques on cells/tissues.
• Execute sequencing, western blotting, and other assays.
• Present research at national/international meetings.
• Assist Lab Chief with documents (CRADAs, MTAs, etc.).
• Review papers and drafts for data presentation and policy adherence.
• Maintain mouse lines and coordinate projects.
