Job summary

Guidehouse seeks a Biological Scientist in Bethesda, MD to support NICHD’s Biorepository and HR-pQCT Imaging Programs. This full-time role involves managing biospecimens, acquiring bone density scans, and coordinating with clinicians and researchers to advance study objectives.

You will analyze data, prepare scientific reports, and ensure strict safety and quality standards in a collaborative research environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant scientific discipline and at least 3 years of biospecimen management experience.
• Background supporting clinical and translational research activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Hands-on use of clinical research databases and scientific data management systems.
• Willingness to learn operation of HR-pQCT bone density scanner.
• Ability to contribute to quality improvement and safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support NICHD Biorepository and HR-pQCT Imaging Programs and manage biospecimens from clinical protocols.
• Obtain bone density and microarchitecture scans for NIH Clinical Center study participants.
• Prepare reports, summaries, manuscripts, and presentations communicating results to stakeholders.
• Coordinate laboratory staff and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Analyze and interpret biological data to support research objectives and scientific evaluations.
