Job summary

Consor seeks a Senior Structural Engineer focused on water infrastructure to lead planning, analysis, and design of treatment plants, pump stations, reservoirs, and hydraulic structures. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, develop calculations and documents, and mentor junior staff.

Location: California, with flexible options including remote, hybrid, and in-office work from multiple CA offices. Compensation ranges from $160,000 to $200,000 annually, depending on experience and

Qualifications

• 10+ years of structural engineering experience with water, wastewater, transportation, or other public infrastructure projects.
• Project management experience on Water Resources and applicable structures projects.
• Experience managing public-sector projects (state, county, city, and federal).
• Ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis of water and wastewater infrastructure, including treatment facilities, pump stations, reservoirs, tanks, and hydraulic structures.
• Serve as the technical lead on multidisciplinary projects, ensuring designs meet client requirements, codes, and industry standards.
• Develop structural calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documents for rehabilitation and expansion projects.
• Perform condition assessments and structural evaluations to identify deficiencies and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, process, and geotechnical engineers to deliver integrated designs.
• Review and seal engineering deliverables, ensuring quality and accuracy across all phases.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and designers through technical guidance and oversight.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and workshops as a primary structural resource.
• Provide construction-phase services, RFIs, submittal reviews, site visits, and field problem resolution.
• Support business development by cultivating client relationships and contributing to proposals and growth initiatives.
