Job summary

Consor is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer focused on water infrastructure in California. You will lead planning, analysis, and design of treatment plants, pump stations, reservoirs and other hydraulic structures, while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams.

You will develop calculations, reviews, and construction documents, support client engagement, and participate in site visits and field support to ensure high-quality, compliant delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of structural engineering experience in water, wastewater, or related public infrastructure.
• Project management experience on Water Resources and structures projects.
• Experience managing public-sector projects (state, county, city, and federal).
• Ability to lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to build lasting client relationships and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
• Active California Structural Engineer (SE) license or ability to obtain licensure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Attention to detail and delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and analysis of water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Serve as technical lead on multidisciplinary projects, ensuring designs meet requirements and standards.
• Develop structural calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documents.
• Perform condition assessments and evaluate existing assets.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, process, and geotechnical engineers.
• Review and seal engineering deliverables throughout all design phases.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and designers.
• Participate in client meetings and workshops as a structural resource.
• Provide construction-phase services, RFIs, submittals, site visits, and field support.
• Support business development through client relationships and proposals.
