Job summary

Consor is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer focused on water infrastructure in California. You will lead design, analysis, and documentation for treatment plants, pump stations, and hydraulic structures, guiding teams and fostering client relationships.

You will mentor engineers, review deliverables, and support business development through proposals and client engagements. A CA SE license and residency in CA are required, with flexible remote/hybrid options from multiple CA offices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of structural engineering experience in water, wastewater, or public infrastructure.
• Project management experience on Water Resources and related structures.
• Experience managing public-sector projects (state, county, city, federal).
• Ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong client communication and relationship-building skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; CA SE license or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and analysis of water/wastewater infrastructure.
• Serve as technical lead on multidisciplinary projects ensuring codes and standards.
• Develop calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documents.
• Perform condition assessments and evaluate existing infrastructure for deficiencies.
• Collaborate with civil/mechanical/electrical/geotechnical teams for integrated designs.
• Review and seal critical deliverables across project phases.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers through oversight and guidance.
• Engage with clients in meetings, presentations, and workshops.
