The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Technical Property Adjuster for a remote, full-time position in the Hartford area. You will independently manage highly complex field property claims, including CAT response, with travel on short notice and collaboration with legal, underwriting, vendors, and agents.

You will lead investigations, assess coverage, set reserves, and negotiate favorable outcomes while mentoring junior adjusters and supporting training initiatives.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience; typically 8+ years of industry experience.
• Recognized authority in negotiating highly complex claims; shapes and implements best practices.
• Fluent in Xactimate usage with level 3 certification or the ability to achieve.
• Strong knowledge of local geography, regulations, and public safety agencies, as well as the ability to build rapport with insureds and navigate the insurance and legal climate.

Aufgaben

• Independently investigate highly complex field property service claims, including CAT response.
• Lead investigations, assess coverage, and issue documentation including reservation of rights and letters.
• Collaborate with internal and external experts to evaluate claims and determine validity and value.
• Lead cross-functional meetings and communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and contribute to departmental projects and initiatives.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to transfer risk for insureds and business partners.
• Maintain comprehensive claim records complying with jurisdictional requirements.
• Lead quality and efficiency initiatives for complex claims workflows.
• Identify subrogation potential; set up files to support recovery efforts.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards; support others in understanding obligations.
• Use technology and data tools to identify trends and optimize outcomes.
• Negotiate high-value and contested claims using advanced strategies.
• Investigate and manage suspicious claims; refer to SIU as needed.
