Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is recruiting a Sr. Litigation Specialist—Remote to lead complex litigated auto and homeowners claims across the United States. You will direct defense counsel, evaluate settlements, and set settlement authority to achieve fair, timely resolutions while managing defense costs.

This role requires strong litigation strategy, budgeting for outside counsel, and the ability to coordinate with executive leadership. Remote work is supported nationwide with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, insurance or risk management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• High School diploma required.
• A proven experience handling insurance claims.
• Prior Senior Casualty experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze claims and plan discovery, including depositions, IMEs and accident reconstruction for auto and homeowners losses.
• Direct defense counsel with authority for resolution and frame settlements or trials to balance costs and indemnity.
• Review liability, damages, coverage and risk to identify independent settlements.
• Collaborate with defense counsel to set negotiation strategy for mediations and settlements.
• Authorize and monitor outside counsel budgets and review defense expenses with bill review.
• Prepare and present litigated case recommendations for IELT-level review.
• Secure authority up to the highest levels for final resolution.
