Weintraub Tobin is seeking a detail-oriented Litigation Docketing Specialist for a full-time remote position near the Sacramento area. The role supports attorneys and staff with centralized docketing services across practice groups, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court deadlines.

The candidate will manage calendar events, deadlines, and analyses, while maintaining high quality and timely communications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a litigation docketing role or docketing experience with litigation background
• Strong understanding of the litigation process
• Familiarity with court websites, PACER, CM/ECF, and California e-filing systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Review court filings, orders, notices, and docketing requests to determine docketing necessity
• Calculate and docket court appearances, documents, and deadlines under applicable rules
• Identify jurisdiction for calculations and apply correct rules
• Analyze scheduling orders and assess effect on deadlines
• Generate clear docket reports and perform quality control on entries
• Conduct legal research to ensure proper jurisdiction and deadlines
• Prioritize rush assignments and docket them accordingly
• Audit and proofread docket entries and review the master calendar for accuracy
