Job summary

Larson Maddox is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Counsel for a fully remote role with a national law firm. The ideal attorney will handle employment litigation, EPLI defense, and day-to-day counseling for employers, while advising on complex workplace issues.

The candidate should have 6+ years of labor and employment experience, a JD from an accredited school, and an active U.S. license. This role offers a collaborative environment and high-level client interaction.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 6 years of labor and employment law experience.
• Proven success handling employment litigation in state and federal courts.
• Experience managing EPLI matters and representing employers.
• Knowledge of EEOC proceedings and related matters.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage litigation matters and client relationships.
• Prior experience providing day-to-day employment counseling to employers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in a wide range of labor and employment disputes in state and federal courts.
• Manage EPLI matters from inception through resolution for carriers and insureds.
• Handle EEOC, DOL, and other agency proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and position statements.
• Conduct witness interviews, depositions, and support mediation or trial preparation.
• Provide practical, business-focused guidance on workplace compliance.
• Build strong client relationships with exceptional service and strategic counsel.
