Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator to join our Civil Construction team. This remote role requires EST/CST availability and occasional travel. You will develop detailed self-perform estimates for heavy civil projects, manage buyouts, and coordinate with internal teams to meet bid deadlines.

A strong background in federal projects is preferred, with 10+ years in heavy civil estimating. You will lead a team of estimators, review drawings and specs, and prepare inquiries to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering is required.
• Minimum of 10 years estimating experience in heavy civil construction.
• Experience estimating federal projects is preferred.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates based on project size, scope, and mix.
• Provide accurate quantity takeoffs and detailed material lists for cost assessment.
• Source and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes for best value.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans with the project team.
• Coordinate with field and office teams to meet submission deadlines.
