You will independently manage moderate to high-value field property claims and lead complex investigations, using advanced negotiation and regulatory knowledge. You will travel on short notice, maintain detailed records, and mentor junior adjusters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with claim handling.
• Typically requires 5–10 years of adjusting experience.
• Strong knowledge of local geography, regulations, and public safety agencies.
• Strong negotiation and influence skills, including litigation and compliance matters.
• Clear written and verbal communication across diverse audiences.
• Highly organized with ability to manage complex workflows and desk time.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage field property claims, including those requiring outside field investigations and CAT response.
• Lead investigations, assess coverage, and issue documentation including reservation of rights and letters.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to transfer risk to appropriate entities.
• Maintain comprehensive claim records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify and assign subrogation potential; set up files for recovery efforts.
• Ensure claims activities comply with regulatory and company standards; support jurisdictional obligations.
• Investigate and manage suspicious claims; refer to SIU as needed.
• Set reserves, authorize payments, and make financial decisions within authority.
• Coordinate with legal, underwriting, vendors, and agents; lead cross-functional meetings.
• Use analytics to identify trends and protect PII; improve data handling.
• Maintain detailed reports and findings for management.
