The position emphasizes independent handling of complex property claims, advanced investigations, and strong negotiation skills, with travel on short notice. You will lead investigations, assess coverage, document settlements, and coordinate with legal, underwriting, and external experts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Typically requires 5–10 years of adjusting experience.
• Must maintain state adjuster licenses, CE credits, and a valid driver’s license.
• Strong knowledge of claims processes and regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage field property claims, including CAT responses, with clear communication to claimants.
• Lead investigations, assess coverage, and prepare documentation (reservation of rights, coverage letters).
• Identify subrogation opportunities and manage recovery efforts where applicable.
• Maintain detailed claim records and prepare findings/recommendations for regulators and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with legal, underwriting, vendors, and agents; may represent the company in mediations/arbitrations/trials.
• Mentor junior adjusters and contribute to training and best practices.
