Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking an Advisory Solution Consultant for the Federal defense team. You will be the technical expert guiding DoD and Federal System Integrator engagements, mapping security solutions to outcomes and leading proof-of-value engagements.

Work involves pre-sales support, deep security demonstrations, and close collaboration with sales to drive opportunities while maintaining regulatory and federational compliance awareness. Travel up to 40% may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of pre-sales solution consulting or related roles in cybersecurity or IT operations.
• Direct experience selling to Federal, DoD, or Federal System Integrator customers.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business impact for executive audiences.
• Demonstrated expertise with enterprise cybersecurity solutions, cloud security, and threat detection.
• Technical depth in Linux, virtualization, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and Python.
• Knowledge of federal frameworks (CMMC, FedRAMP, NIST, STIG, CSfC).
• Background in IT/IoT/OT security, industrial control systems, or critical infrastructure.
• Excellent communication skills and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with federal customers to map ServiceNow Security solutions to outcomes.
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations and deep dives showing AI-driven visibility and security posture improvements.
• Design and manage proof-of-value engagements in live federal environments, measuring tangible security wins.
• Collaborate with Sales to guide opportunities from qualification to close with technical credibility.
• Support marketing and events, representing ServiceNow as a federal security authority.
• Provide feedback to product management on federal requirements and market differentiation.
• Share technical assets and best practices with the Solutions Consulting team.
• Stay current on federal security trends and competitor positioning.
