Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking an Advisory Solution Consultant to support the Federal defense team. You will be the technical expert and trusted advisor on security engagements for DoD and Federal System Integrator prospects, guiding deals from discovery through proof of value and positioning AI-powered visibility and security improvements.

Work with Sales to articulate value, demonstrate outcomes, and deploy proof-of-value engagements in live federal environments. Travel up to 40% may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in pre-sales solution consulting, sales engineering, or solutions architecture in cybersecurity or IT operations.
• Direct experience selling to or supporting Federal, DoD, or Federal System Integrator customers.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business impact for C-suite and technical audiences.
• Expertise with enterprise cybersecurity solutions, vulnerability management, detection and response, cloud security, and endpoint security.
• Technical depth in Linux, virtualization, cloud platforms and scripting (Python).
• Strong understanding of IT/IoT/OT environments and security architectures.
• Exposure to AI/ML in security contexts and federated/compliant environments.
• Knowledge of federal frameworks (CMMC, FedRAMP, NIST, CSfC).
• Background in IT/IoT/OT security, critical infrastructure, or utility networks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to build credibility with federal customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery for Federal customers and map ServiceNow Security to outcomes.
• Deliver tailored demonstrations and deep dives showing AI-driven visibility and security posture improvements.
• Design and manage proof-of-value engagements in live federal environments.
• Partner with Sales to guide opportunities from qualification through close with technical credibility.
• Support marketing and sales activities, representing ServiceNow as a technical authority on federal security modernization.
• Provide product feedback on federal requirements and market differentiation.
• Share battle-tested assets and best practices with the Solutions Consulting team.
• Stay current on federal trends, threats, and Armis/Veza capabilities.
