Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking an Advisory Solution Consultant for Federal defense engagements in the United States. You will lead technical discovery, deliver AI-enabled security demonstrations, and shape proof-of-value engagements with DoD and federal system integrators.

You will translate complex cybersecurity concepts into actionable business outcomes for executives, collaborating with the sales team to guide opportunities from discovery to close and stay ahead of evolving threats and compliance

Qualifications

• 5+ years in pre-sales solution consulting or solutions architecture
• Direct experience selling to or supporting Federal, DoD, or Federal System Integrator customers
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business impact for executives and technical audiences
• Demonstrated expertise with enterprise cybersecurity solutions and cloud security platforms
• Technical depth in Linux, virtualization, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and scripting (Python)
• Strong understanding of IT/IoT/OT environments, network architecture, and endpoint security
• Exposure to AI and ML in security contexts and AI-driven analytics
• Knowledge of federal compliance frameworks (CMMC, FedRAMP, NIST, STIG)
• Background in IT/IoT/OT security or critical infrastructure
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to build credibility quickly
• Ownership mindset for deal success in federal sales cycles

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with Federal customers to map security challenges to ServiceNow solutions
• Deliver tailored product demos and deep technical dives showing AI-driven visibility across networks and environments
• Design and manage proof-of-value engagements in live federal environments with analytics validation
• Partner with Sales to guide complex opportunities from qualification to close with technical credibility
• Support marketing and sales activities: briefs, webinars, trade shows, and industry events
• Provide product feedback on federal customer requirements and security frameworks
• Share battle-tested assets and best practices with the Solution Consulting team
• Stay current on federal security trends, threats, and new Armis/Veza capabilities
