Affirm is seeking a Bank Controller to lead the accounting function during a growth phase. You will oversee day-to-day operations, financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, and coordinate with regulators and auditors.

Qualifications

• CPA/CA designation required.
• 10+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance or Treasury related areas.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Experience building out tools and processes to scale an Accounting team.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP and regulatory reporting.
• Proven analysis, cash management, and modeling experience.
• Extremely detail oriented with strong critical thinking.
• Strategic, goal driven mindset with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Bank accounting team, providing strategic direction and coaching.
• Serve as a primary liaison with cross-functional partners and regulatory bodies.
• Oversee monthly financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Build and maintain a controlled regulatory reporting function (FFIEC, Part 363, Fed etc).
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual bank financial statement audit.
• Collaborate with engineering/product teams to drive accounting/reporting automation.
• Manage additional financial analysis and projects as required.
