Job summary

OpenKrill is seeking a Remote Operations Engineer (NOC) to support day-to-day IT operations for an Australian MSP. Focus areas include backup monitoring/verification, patch remediation, and infrastructure health checks across multiple client environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with Veeam, Azure Backup, Datto RMM, and Windows Server, with the ability to work independently following standard procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience with backup monitoring and verification across multi-client environments.
• Familiarity with backup histories, failures, and test restores.
• Experience with patch remediation and endpoint management.
• Knowledge of MSP operations and documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform recurring backup health checks across multiple client environments using Veeam, Azure Backup, and Datto solutions.
• Review backup job histories and investigate warnings to identify failures.
• Monitor repository capacity, recovery points, and offsite storage availability.
• Conduct file-level test restores and Azure Backup recovery tests.
• Review configurations and maintain accurate backup documentation.
• Manage patch remediation and endpoint management tasks via Datto RMM.
• Escalate incidents and maintain detailed ticket records.
• Follow documented checklists and standard operating procedures.
