Job summary

MEDHOST, a division of Harris, is hiring an Account Follow-up Representative II to review and resolve outstanding insurance balances on hospital patient accounts. The role is remote across the United States, with a wage of $18–$26 per hour.

The candidate will learn multiple hospital systems, perform research analysis, and work with third-party payors to resolve unpaid claims, aiming for timely resolution and improved cash flow. Experience in AR and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in accounts receivable or related field.
• Knowledge of revenue cycle processes and insurance follow-up.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on hospital patient accounts for insurance payments and rebill as needed.
• Handle 40–50 accounts per workday for assigned payors.
• Analyze denials and coordinate with third-party payors to resolve claims.
• Provide education and training for new hires as needed.
