Job summary

MEDHOST, a division of Harris Computer, is seeking an Account Follow-up Representative II to review and resolve outstanding insurance balances on hospital patient accounts. This remote role is open to candidates anywhere in the US, with wage of $18–$26 per hour.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in a related field, strong AR experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. You will handle high-volume follow-ups, document payer interactions, and support QA processes while maintaining HIPAA

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of revenue cycle processes impacting insurance reimbursements.
• Ability to follow directions and comply with HIPAA privacy and security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on hospital patient accounts outstanding for insurance payments.
• Verify claim payment status and rebill to insurance when needed.
• Gather demographic, clinical, and insurance information to resolve claims.
• Prioritize tasks and manage time to complete assignments.
• Collaborate with other teams to resolve payor issues and denial trends.
