MEDHOST, a division of Harris, seeks an Account Follow-up Representative II to review and resolve outstanding insurance balances on hospital patient accounts. This remote position welcomes candidates anywhere in the US and offers an hourly wage of $18-$26.

Responsibilities include researching denials, rebilling claims, gathering patient information, and coordinating with payors to achieve timely resolutions while maintaining HIPAA compliance and quality standards.

Formación

• 3+ years' experience in related field.
• High School or equivalent diploma required.
• Knowledge of revenue cycle processes impacting insurance reimbursements.
• Proficiency with telephone systems for outbound/inbound calls.
• HIPAA privacy and security awareness.

Responsabilidades

• Timely follow-up on hospital patient accounts that are outstanding for insurance payment.
• Rebill to patient’s insurance and document steps taken for resolution.
• Prioritize and manage 40-50 accounts per workday per payor(s).
• Gather demographic, clinical info, medical records, and authorizations as needed to pay claims.
• Work with third party payors and other teams to resolve denials/variance trends.
