Job summary

MEDHOST, a division of Harris, seeks an Account Follow-up Representative II to review and resolve outstanding insurance balances on hospital patient accounts. This remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in the US.

You will manage 40–50 accounts daily, verify payment status, rebill insurers, and gather required information to pay claims. The role requires 3+ years in a related field and knowledge of HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years' experience in related field.
• High School or equivalent diploma required.
• Experience with revenue cycle or insurance follow-up is a plus.
• HIPAA knowledge and compliance is expected.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on insurance balances and verify payment status.
• Process 40–50 accounts per workday for assigned payers.
• Assist with denials and prepare claims for reconsideration or appeal.
• Gather demographics, medical records, and insurance data as needed.
• Communicate findings and coordinate with payors and teams to resolve balances.
