Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Sr. Relay Technician to lead protection and control testing on substations and industrial systems. You will perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and end-to-end project execution while mentoring field teams.

This role emphasizes safety leadership, customer interaction, and technical excellence, with travel and overtime as needed. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in the power industry, NETA experience, and strong relay test skills.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, maintaining, testing & repairing protective relays in substations.
• Able to work overtime and travel as needed.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety briefings and enforce safety policies.
• Analyze protection schemes for power circuits and components.
• Install, commission, test, and validate relay panels and related equipment.
• Perform end-to-end and functional testing with relay test equipment.
• Develop project execution and energization plans.
• Coordinate resources and field activities to complete projects.
• Prepare comprehensive test and commissioning reports.
• Mentor Relay Technician I/II and junior engineers.
• Interface with customers and project stakeholders.
