Qualifications

• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen due to this being a safety sensitive position.
• Criminal background check completion required.
• Willingness to travel out of town for periods of time and work overtime.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, testing & repairing protective relays in substations.

Responsibilities

• Lead job site safety briefings and enforce safety policies to maintain a strong safety culture.
• Analyze protection schemes for power circuits and components across transmission, distribution, and industrial systems.
• Install, commission, test, and perform functional testing of substation relay panels and components.
• Perform advanced end-to-end testing using automated relay test equipment and software.
• Lead root cause analyses for relay trips, failures, and disturbances.
• Develop project execution plans, commissioning procedures, and outage sequences.
