Job summary

Asplundh Electrical Testing is seeking a Senior Relay Technician to ensure the safe, reliable operation of medium‑ and high‑voltage substations through advanced protective relay testing, commissioning, and maintenance. Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in protective relaying for utility substations.
• Experience testing 5kV–500kV protection systems.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30; valid driver’s license; able to lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead job briefings and safety tailboards on site.
• Perform protective relay testing, calibration, and commissioning.
• Test protection schemes: distance, differential, overcurrent, bus protection.
• Mentor onsite technicians and coordinate with project managers and customers.
• Create test reports and field documentation.
