Job summary

Electric Power Systems seeks a Senior Relay Technician to lead protection and control testing, commissioning, and field execution for substations and industrial networks across North America.

You will guide safety, drive complex projects, mentor technicians, interact with utilities, and deliver comprehensive test reports and as-built documentation to ensure reliable power system operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in electrical/electronic technology or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience and NETA certification preferred.
• Hands-on experience with protection relays in substations and field settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead job site safety briefings and enforce safety policies.
• Analyze protection schemes and perform relay installation, commissioning, and testing.
• Execute advanced end-to-end testing with relay test equipment and software.
• Read and validate protection schematics and system configurations.
• Develop project plans, outages, and energization sequences.
