Job summary

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Relationship Manager III to join our team. This role focuses on growing market share, expanding revenue mix, retaining customers, and managing portfolios.

You will implement an aggressive sales strategy to develop new and existing relationships and provide expert credit guidance. The position requires 5+ years of commercial banking experience and a business-related degree or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of commercial banking experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience as described.
• MBA or credit analyst designation is a plus, and completion of banking school is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop new and existing relationships with aggressive sales and marketing to grow revenue.
• Cross-sell opportunities and achieve income production goals.
• Monitor loans and client credit profiles to ensure terms are met and risk is managed.
• Extend credit within assigned limits to commercial customers; assess needs and collateral.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to team members.
