First Merchants Bank is seeking a Relationship Manager III to grow market share, broaden revenue, retain customers and manage portfolios. The role emphasizes aggressive business development, cross-selling opportunities and superior client service.

The position requires strong banking experience, formal education in business, and leadership capabilities to coach and mentor teams while maintaining credit risk and profitability for commercial loans.

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of commercial banking experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field OR associate degree/two (2) years of college + two (2) years of related work/military experience OR four (4) years of related work/military experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement an aggressive sales and marketing strategy to develop new and existing relationships.
• Provide exceptional customer service; be responsive, knowledgeable and exceed customer expectations.
• Continually monitor current loans and customer's credit profile to ensure complete conformity with terms; assess collateral and financials.
• Extend credit within assigned limits to commercial customers; interview applicants and assess needs and earnings; review and analyze financial data and collateral.
• Support employee development and training, counsel, motivate, coach, mentor and provide leadership.
